The Account Executive will provide a high level of sales support to the Producer and customer service to clients. The position requires a significant degree of independent judgment and discretion in order to meet those service levels. Duties include assisting in selling, direct selling, marketing, and customer service in coordination with the producer and other Agency personnel. The Account Executive has superior product knowledge and is familiar with the specific products offered by the Agency's carriers. The Account Executive will assist in the production of new and renewal accounts in keeping with Agency and individual Producer goals and provide field service in support of Producer activities. The Account Executive is responsible for assisting clients with service needs and making changes to existing accounts. The Account Executive will work with the Producer to design and recommend proper insurance and risk management programs to Agency clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and possibly carriers.
Responsible to provide high level of service to client book assigned to handle.
For non-program business, will market new and renewal accounts with appropriate carriers. For non-program business, will request proposals from carriers, binders and binding and of policies and endorsements to be issued by the carrier.
For program business, will underwrite new and renewal accounts in accordance with Underwriting Program Guidelines. For program business, will solicit, evaluate, underwrite, rate, quote, bind, bill and issue policies and endorsements on behalf of carrier.
Maintain knowledge of products offered by carrier(s) and /or program.
Depending on the particular location, this role may carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Agency's policies and applicable laws as required. Responsibilities include interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university; or at least four years of insurance customer service experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Appropriate insurance license(s).
